A young woman was struck in the head by a falling piece of wood in Soho on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

The 19-year-old victim was walking outside 580 Broadway near Prince Street around 1 p.m. when the wood, roughly 18 inches long, hit her, witnesses said.

The bleeding woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital with head trauma, cops said.

“A lady was walking, and this wood came down and hit her in the head, and she went down,” said Halal cart worker Rahman Mizanur. “She was bloodied on her head.”

It was unclear where the wood fell from.
