Firefighters rescued a woman who jumped into the East River near the iconic Pepsi-Cola sign in Long Island City on Tuesday, officials and witnesses said.

First responders fished the unidentified woman out of the water off the shore of Gantry State Plaza Park in Queens around 9:45 a.m., officials said.

She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital in stable condition.

The woman jumped off a pier that is about 200 feet from the Pepsi sign inside the 12-acre riverside park.
