The woman who was fatally struck by a flatbed truck in Brooklyn as she pushed her niece in a stroller has been identified by police.

Rachel Gandel, 62, was crossing at Myrtle and Bedford avenues in Bedford-Stuyvesant around 11:30 a.m. Thursday — with the 1-year-old girl in a stroller — when the work truck plowed into her, authorities said.

Gandel was rushed to the Brooklyn Hospital Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The child was not hit by the truck, but her stroller was knocked over and she suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital for evaluation, cops said.

The driver was stopped at a light and was seated too high up to see the woman crossing in front of him, police sources said. Police said it wasn’t clear who had the green light.

The truck driver, a 38-year-old man, stayed on the scene and there were no immediate charges.
