A woman uttering “anti-ethnic statements” slapped a 31-year-old man during a massive pro-Palestinian march across the Brooklyn Bridge, cops said.
The unknown woman — described by authorities as a 30-something with brown eyes and long brown hair — approached the man as he walked across the bridge at about 6:15 p.m. on Saturday and said “F—k Palestine,” according to the NYPD.
Then she slapped him, and ran away right after the attack, cops said.
The NYPD on Sunday released images of the suspect in the hopes of identifying her.
When she was last seen, the 5-foot, 7-inch-tall suspect was wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and sunglasses.
The victim declined medical attention, cops said.
The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
The attack happened during the Flood Brooklyn for Gaza protest, a three-mile march that began at around 3 p.m. in front of the Brooklyn Museum in Crown Heights.

It’s unclear whether the attack has anything to do with the conflict in the Middle East, which inspired mass protests on the Brooklyn Bridge this week. REUTERSSome 7,000 demonstrators — holding signs with antisemitic slogans such as “From the River to the Sea, Palestine Will be Free,” and “F—k Israel, Justice Palestine” — converged on the Brooklyn Bridge by around 6 p.m., stopping traffic on the Manhattan-bound side.
Police said they shut down traffic on the Brooklyn-bound side as a precautionary measure.
