A woman was nearly strangled inside a fashionable Hell’s Kitchen bar, police said Tuesday night.

The shocking attack happened at 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 26, inside the bathroom of Blue Ruin Bar at 538 Ninth Ave., authorities said.

The 27-year-old victim lost consciousness but survived the ordeal.

She described the attacker as about 5-foot-8 or -9 with hazel or green eyes and long black dreads. He is still on the loose.

The Prohibition-era watering hole is favorite of Midtown locals and has attracted celebrities such as Bono and his U2 bandmates.
