A man was injured when his girlfriend shoved him onto the tracks as they were fighting at a Manhattan subway station early Monday, sources said.
The couple were arguing on the platform of the 14th Street station on the L line when the 30-year-old woman pushed her boyfriend, 41, around 6:30 a.m.
The man landed on the tracks, injuring his right ankle, sources said. He was not struck by a train.
The man originally told cops that he fell but later admitted that his girlfriend pushed him. It was not immediately clear if the woman had been taken into custody.
