A 59-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times early Sunday at a Brooklyn apartment building, police sources said.

Police arrested a 57-year-old man after the 3 a.m. attack at 285 Hawthorne St. in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, the sources said.

The woman was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where she required immediate surgery. The relationship between them wasn’t clear, and the man wasn’t being cooperative, the sources said.

Police recovered a weapon at the scene, where a trail of blood led from the woman’s apartment, down the hallway to the elevator.

In an unrelated attack, a 32-year-old man was slashed on the left side of his face by an apparent stranger just after 3:30 a.m. in the Bronx.

He told cops an unknown man approached him from behind in front of 920 East 173 St. and cut his face before fleeing, police sources said.
