A Manhattan woman told cops she was sleeping in her apartment when a stranger slipped in — possibly through an unlocked door — and raped her, authorities said Thursday.

The 25-year-old woman told police she was asleep inside her West 14th Street apartment Tuesday around 10:35 p.m. when the stranger climbed into her bed, moved her underwear aside and sexually assaulted her, police and law-enforcement sources told the Post.

The victim awoke to her cell phone ringing and initially believed the man was her boyfriend — then realized she didn’t recognize him, police sources said. He rushed from the apartment.

The woman — whose two roommates were also home at the time — called 911 and was taken to Lenox Health Greenwich Village, where a rape-kit examination was conducted, police said.

Investigators are still looking for her attacker, who police believe slipped in through an unlocked door. The victim described him as approximately 25 years old, 5-foot-10 and 150 pounds with black hair and black eyes.

The NYPD’s Special Victims Division is handling the case.
