A former cosmetics saleswoman for Procter & Gamble is suing the company, claiming she was fired after becoming pregnant and being told earlier by a supervisor that “pregnancy is not part of the uniform.”

The suit was filed in Manhattan federal court Friday by Tiffany Kantrowitz, who for two years worked at P&G’s Dolce & Gabbana makeup shop inside Saks Fifth Avenue.

P&G has a licensing agreement to make and sell Dolce & Gabbana products. Neither Dolce nor Saks was named in the suit.

Kantrowitz says she was fired by P&G last year after asking to be allowed to sit while dealing with customers because she was pregnant. She said that violates federal and city anti-discrimination laws.
