A woman who grew up in the 42nd Precinct, which includes parts of Crotona Park East, Claremont and Morrisania, was shot while visiting her old neighborhood recently — and now says she’ll never return because it’s turned into the Wild West.

“People are walking around with guns and doing what they want to do,” said Jasmine Blakely, a Baruch College MBA student who was hit in the leg by a stray bullet as she left a barbecue.

“I wouldn’t go back over there. I wouldn’t. And it’s a shame — I grew up over there,” she said.

Blakely, 34, was leaving a cook-out in Crotona Park when she was shot during what law-enforcement sources said was a gang-related attack at around 12:30 a.m. July 2.

A man who sources identified as the intended target also was shot in the face and critically wounded.

Cops arrested a suspect, but prosecutors dropped the case when witnesses refused to cooperate, police sources said.

The DA’s office did not comment.
