A 40-year-old woman was shot near a playground in Brooklyn on Sunday night, police said.

The victim was standing on Louisiana Avenue near the Breukelen Ballfields in East New York when a bullet struck her in the hip around 8 p.m.

The shot may have been fired from a passing car, described as a dark-colored vehicle, police said.

The woman was taken to Brookdale University Hospital in stable condition.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, officials said.
