The Westchester woman who stabbed a 2-year-old girl to death before police Tased and then shot her has been identified as the child’s mother, police said.

One day after bloodshed shocked a Mamaroneck community, cops were scouring the multi-family home at 507 Chestnut Ave, where at 1:30 p.m.Saturday, they were called for a report of police assistance needed.

When responding officers gained entry into the home on Saturday, they discovered the 2-year-old girl who had suffered an apparent stab wound. They began to search the home and found the toddler’s 28-year-old mother.

“The female was given numerous verbal commands by the officers to show her hands,” the release further states. “The female then attacked the officers with a knife, injuring two of them.”

The cops then Tased the unrelenting mother. After the shock did not deter the woman, one of the officers shot her.

Both the mother and the child were rushed to an area hospital, where the baby died shortly thereafter.

Officers at the crime scene on Sunday morning interviewed a man who appeared to be in his 20s after he exited the residence. Police spoke to the unidentified man for approximately 30 minutes before he got into a white Honda Fit.

“I really don’t know anything about it,” he told reporters before driving away.

The home, situated not far from Warren Avenue Park, largely houses renters, neighbors said. A tent was set up in the backyard of the residents while police scoured the home for evidence.

Officers seen coming in and out of the house would not comment to reporters.
