Police said that the woman was crossing the heavily-traveled thoroughfare near Avenue K at 8:30 p.m. January 21 when she was hit by a passing vehicle.

Members of the Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance Service rushed the woman to Brookdale Hospital where she was listed in critical condition.

The driver remained at the scene. No arrests were made.
