The body of a school maintenance worker was discovered hanging from a rope in the basement of PS 106 in Brooklyn on Sunday evening, according to police.

Cops say a coworker discovered the 56-year-old man hanging from a pipe and called 911.

Emergency responders tried to revive him to no avail. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident appeared to be a suicide, authorities said.

The man left a suicide note, according to police sources. His identity has not been released.
