The best friend of the Pace University student who was killed by a Westchester cop last year sued yesterday over the injury he suffered during the racially charged shooting.

Brandon Cox, who was sitting in the passenger seat next to victim Danroy “DJ” Henry, says he avoided his pal’s fate only because he tried to escape through the door when Pleasantville cop Aaron Hess opened fire.

“A bullet hit his left arm, wounding him, instead of hitting him in the chest,” court papers say.

“Mr. Cox believes Officer Hess intended to kill him by aiming for his chest.”
