A veteran news director yesterday slapped WPIX/Channel 11 with a $1.5 million age-discrimination suit.

Karen Scott, 60, claims that the station fired her from her $300,000-plus-a-year job last year as part of a crackdown on older employees — including reporter Marvin Scott (no relation), anchor Kaity Tong and former “beloved sports anchor” Sal Marchiano.

The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court, also claims that the station’s news ratings have fallen since she was replaced by William Carey, who is “approximately 10 years Ms. Scott’s junior.”

A WPIX spokeswoman declined comment.
