This reckless driver turned violent.

A still-at-large gunman shot a 23-year-old woman in the leg after driving the wrong way on a Staten Island street and exchanging words with the driver of her car late Saturday night, police sources said.

The woman was a passenger in a car that exited the Goethals Bridge onto Forest Avenue when the vehicle came upon an SUV driving in the wrong direction at about 10:30 p.m.

The drivers of the two vehicles began to argue, and then the driver of the SUV pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting the woman in the leg.
