A construction worker was injured after he plunged fifteen feet at 3 World Trade Center this afternoon, authorities said.

The 36-year-old employee was sitting on top of a steel beam outside the building on Church Street and Cortlandt Street shortly before 1:30 p.m., when he fell, according to a Port Authority spokesman and FDNY.

EMS rushed him to Bellevue Hospital, where he is being treated for head and arm injuries, the spokesman said.

An iron worker suffered a leg injury in July at 3 World Trade Center after a beam fell on him.
