A parked yellow cab burst into flames in Times Square this morning, sending thick black smoke into the air and sending pedestrians into a frenzy.

Fire officials said the cab was parked on the corner of 53rd Street and Seventh Ave. at 9:30 a.m. when it suddenly caught fire.

It took firefighters minutes to put out the fire.

No was injured.

The cause remains under investigation.
