A busted switch at the Lexington Avenue-59th Street subway station caused Thursday morning delays on the F, Q and R lines.
Northbound R trains briefly ran on the Q line from 57th Street-7th Avenue to Lexington Avenue-63rd Street.
“At some point the F train will be so delayed it just becomes its new schedule,” Twitter user @KateVatter tweeted Thursday morning.
The MTA has faced mounting backlash this week for system outages caused by its aging infrastructure.
