Dozens of yoga buffs were drenched by heavy rain in Times Square Friday while celebrating the first day of summer.
“My back got soaked, my legs got soaked, but it was very calming,” said Army Reserve officer Deja Pastures, 21, who took part in the annual International Day of Yoga.
Midtown paralegal Toni Carter, 68, couldn’t resist getting her downward dog on, either.
“You can’t control mother nature, but that shouldn’t stop you,” she said. “A lot of people are afraid of rain, but I would tell them, ‘No!’”
It’s been New York City’s rainiest June in six years, with roughly 4.56 inches falling in Central Park, according to AccuWeather.
