Uber customers will now have less time to change their minds about hiring one of the app’s cars — the company has sliced its trip-cancellation window from five minutes to two.
Cancelling an Uber after two minutes will lead to a $10 fee for users. Uber officials said on Wednesday that the old lag time was too generous.
“We think that two minutes is a reasonable amount of time,” Uber said. “Anything more than that is taking money away from the driver.”
