WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A southern New Jersey man was killed Sunday after he apparently fell from his roof while stringing Christmas lights.

Authorities did not immediately release the name of the 59-year-old Washington Township resident.

He was found lying unconscious in his driveway at about 5 p.m., The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill reported. A ladder was propped against the garage, and his hat was found on the roof.

The man was pronounced dead at Kennedy Memorial Hospital.
