Mayor Zohran Mamdani popped in for a surprise appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” to crack a cringeworthy joke about the snowstorm as bitterly cold weather rocked New York City this weekend.

Hizzoner hopped on stage in the middle of Fallon’s monologue Monday night, which was full of “It’s so cold in New York City” cracks after Winter Storm Fern dumped more than 11 inches of snow on the Big Apple.

“Jimmy, let me try one,” Mamdani said as the crowd burst into applause.

“It’s so cold in New York City, the rent froze itself. Good night, everybody,” Mamdani quipped — a nod to his socialist plan to halt rent hikes, which critics say could lead to a spike in property taxes for homeowners and landlords.

“But seriously, stay inside, stay warm, stay safe,” the mayor said, waving as he departed the stage.

Fallon caught heat recently for repeating the same joke about Mamdani and the frigid New York temperatures.

“It was so cold in New York City this morning, walking to work, I saw a Wall Street stockbroker spooning with Zohran Mamdani,” Fallon said for the first time during his show on Dec. 9 — before dropping the same joke twice more.

The longtime “Tonight Show” host had a slew of new jokes about the cold Monday night.

“It is so cold, my belly button went from an outie to an innie,” he said.

The joke, which went viral for Fallon’s repetition on different nights, hinges on the surprising image of the Democratic Socialist cuddling with a business tycoon.

Mamdani has faced criticism from business leaders in the city over some of his proposed policies, including raising the corporate tax rate and freezing rent for millions of New Yorkers.

The long-time “Tonight Show” host had a slew of new jokes about the cold Monday night without mentioning the new mayor.

“It is so cold my belly button went from an outie to an innie,” he said, before taking digs at Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

At least eight people have died outside in New York City since Saturday, according to Mamdani, and dozens more died nationwide as a result of the weekend’s winter blast. Mamdani said the deaths in New York City are under investigation, and some of the victims were known to the city’s shelter system.

The snowstorm impacted more than two-thirds of the country, much of which was still digging itself out on Tuesday.
