The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday declined to bring felony charges against lawyer Michael Avenatti for an alleged domestic violence incident that took place at his LA apartment.

Avenatti, 47, was detained last week when actress Mareli Miniutti claimed he was physically violent toward her, according to sources.

“I am thankful that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has rejected filing any charges against me after a fair, careful and thorough investigation,” Avenatti wrote in a statement.

“I have maintained my innocence since the moment of my arrest.”

The LA district attorney’s office said Wednesday they were referring the case to city prosecutors for possible misdemeanor charges in the case.

Avenatti, a fierce critic of President Trump and lawyer for alleged Trump mistress Stormy Daniels, slammed website TMZ for their inaccurate reporting of the incident.

“I am still waiting for apologies from @tmz for their demonstrably false article from last Wed,” he tweeted.

“I am also waiting on apologies from all of the other news orgs that quoted from the story bc they are lazy.”
