A Michigan mom allegedly slit her two young children’s throats with a knife in a grisly New Year’s Day attack, police said.

Sara Vae Boles, 36, was arrested after cops found her kneeling over her 1-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter in the bathroom of their home in Inkster, west of Detroit, the Detroit News reported.

Both children had lacerations to their necks and a knife was found in the bathtub, police said.

Cops came across the grisly scene after they were called to Boles’ home just after 9 a.m. Saturday to carry out a welfare check on the mom and her two kids.

Officers forced their way into the home after hearing a child crying inside — and found the trio in the bathroom.

The children were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Boles’ daughter has since been treated and released, but the little boy remains hospitalized.

The mother was arrested at the scene after briefly struggling with officers, according to police.

Boles was arraigned Tuesday on two counts of assault with intent to murder, two counts of first-degree child abuse and one count of resisting and obstructing.

She is being held on a $100,000 bond.
