A depraved Nebraska middle school science teacher allegedly admitted using AI to produce hundreds of images of young kids being abused — which he then looked at while pleasuring himself at work, according to prosecutors.

Matthew Lund, a 47-year-old science teacher at Andersen Middle School in Omaha, was busted after a tip from Google about the horrific images uploaded to his work account — all while he taught students and ran extracurricular clubs on the side, KETV reported.

In total, he was found with 423 artificially generated images — including “104 files consistent with child sexual assault … depicting ranging from infant to approximately 12 years old,” prosecutors said.

“The defendant then admitted to generating the child sexual assault material of prepubescent children and masturbating to them while at work at which he is a middle school science teacher,” the prosecutors said.

Lund was arrested at his Omaha home early Wednesday on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography. His bail was set at $1 million in a court hearing Thursday.

“At this point, there is no indication that any students are victims in this case,” Nebraska State Police said after Wednesday’s arrest.

However, that did not fully reassure parents of students he taught.

“He was hiding in plain sight,” one parent told KETV, claiming Lund made several kids feel “uncomfortable” with his behavior.

A law went into force across Nebraska in September that makes the creation of AI-generated child pornography a class 1D felony for adults, with a maximum sentence of 50 years in prison.

“I think this might be the first one our office has charged under the new law,” said Brenda Beadle, the deputy Douglas County attorney.
