A 12-year-old South Carolina boy was busted this week for falsely claiming that one of his teachers had been shot, local cops said.
The unidentified student, who attended Alcorn Middle School, was upset with the teacher on Thursday when he called school administrators to report that the instructor had been shot, according to a statement from the Columbia Police Department.
A School Resource officer investigated and determined that no staffer at the school had been injured or threatened.
The student, who was charged with unlawful communication and disturbing schools, was petitioned to family court, according to authorities.
After being questioned by officers, he was turned over to a parent, cops said.
