Michael Bloomberg cracked wise about his rocky 2020 debate-stage debut during a Thursday stump stop in Utah.

“So how was your night last night?” a smirking Bloomberg deadpanned to supporters at an event in Salt Lake City, drawing a chorus of laughter, video posted by The Hill shows.

The former three-term mayor of New York was skewered by his fellow candidates during his first foray into the debate field Wednesday night in Las Vegas, drawing flak for everything from his wealth to his records in both the public and private sectors.

Bloomberg at least left the debate stage with enough self-awareness not to crown himself the champ, telling the crowd on Thursday that the night’s top dog was the president.

“Look, the real winner in the debate last night was Donald Trump,” he said. “Because I worry that we may very well be on our way to nominating somebody who cannot win in November.

“If we choose a candidate who appeals to a small base, like Sen. [Bernie] Sanders, it will be a fatal error.”

Bloomberg scored one of his few victories Wednesday night by attacking the Vermont lawmaker, a self-described democratic socialist, over his own riches.

But Bloomberg’s campaign spent much of Thursday trying to spin the rookie performance as his “just warming up.”
