Georgia college student Anitra Gunn’s death has been ruled a homicide — as the final text messages the 23-year-old exchanged with her father are revealed, according to new reports.
An autopsy conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Gunn was killed, but her specific cause of death has not yet been released pending toxicology results, the Peach County Sheriff confirmed to local station WMAZ.
Gunn disappeared on Valentine’s Day and hadn’t been in touch with concerned family and friends since.
Four days later, her body was discovered under an assortment of sticks next to her car’s detached bumper, 150 feet off a two-lane road near the Peach and Crawford County lines.
A missing person’s report obtained by the station reveals that Anitra’s father, Christopher Gunn, told an officer the day of her disappearance that her ex-boyfriend, Demarcus Little, was tracking her phone’s location.
Little was the last person seen with Gunn, her father told the officer. They went to a party Thursday night, returned to Gunn’s house to get her car and then went to Waffle House around 2 a.m. Friday, he said.
From there, Gunn spent the night at Little’s house until she left around 10 or 11 a.m., her dad told the officer.

Little, also 23, was arrested Tuesday and charged with criminal damage to property in connection with a Feb. 5 incident in which he allegedly smashed the windows of Gunn’s apartment and slashed the tires of her vehicle, authorities said.
He has not been charged in connection with her death but has been named a person of interest.
During a Friday court appearance related to the property damage charges, a judge set bond at $10,000 and ordered Little — an active-duty service member with the Army — to not have any contact with Gunn’s family or any witnesses.
