A drugged up Maryland woman kicked her 12-year-old son out of her minivan and forced him to walk in freezing cold temperatures — and later abandoned nine more of her children after her vehicle ran out of gas, according to cops.

Sheri Marshall, 36, is facing charges of child neglect for the December 2016 incident.

The Colesville mother of 13 was allegedly under the influence of drugs when she forced her 12-year-old onto the interstate and deserted her other nine kids — ages 1 to 11, WJLA reports.

She had been driving with them to her grandmother’s house before everything went down.

It was Dec. 16 and Marshall’s children told cops that she had been “acting strangely” lately. They claimed that she had been spending her nights outside and taking walks around 4 a.m.

As they were heading to Marshall’s grandmother’s house, she reportedly got into an argument with her son and booted him from her 1997 Dodge Caravan.

The family continued driving for a short time before eventually running out of gas.

Rather than get out and ask for help, Marshall strangely chose to remain holed up in the vehicle — braving temperatures in the mid-20s — for the next 36 hours, cops said.

On Dec. 18, her children woke up and discovered that she was gone. Marshall had abandoned them in the middle of the night, according to police.

Hungry and cold, Marshall’s kids collected all the loose change they could find and purchased food and diapers at a nearby gas station. They quickly ran out of supplies, though, and were forced to walk to a local restaurant for help.

Employees there promptly called 911 and police arrived, soon-after.

Officers later found Marshall wandering aimlessly down a street. Cops said she was “unaware of her surroundings” and had urinated herself.

Marshall was taken to a hospital for evaluation. Doctors said she had a high level of illegal drugs in her system, but weren’t specific.

“It’s a terrible thing to do,” a neighbor told WJLA about the incident. “This is the best country in the world and for us to not be able to do something about this woman who keeps having children… Whatever her problems are, they need to be addressed.”

Authorities said it took so long to charge Marshall because of how many young children they had to interview and also due to the waiting period for her mental health tests, which reportedly showed no obvious signs of psychiatric distress.

Investigators believe it was ultimately the drugs that caused Marshall to behave they way she did.

Her children have since been placed under the care of relatives.
