A miscreant macaque – who victimized residents in Wuhan, China, for six months – was finally collared on Monday, the People’s Daily reported.

A woman reported a “monkey break-in” to cops, saying that the pesky primate rummaged through her home for food.

After alerting the Wuhan Zoo, cops went to her home with vets and animal experts. They told her to close all her windows to keep the monkey from bolting.

Like a SWAT team, the catchers burst into the home and caught the so-called “Monkey King,” the paper reported.

Residents were glad to finally have the monkey off their backs.

The banana-loving burglar was remanded to the zoo.
