Nearly 100 people aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship traveling from Florida to the Western Caribbean were sickened with gastrointestinal symptoms when an outbreak swept through the massive ocean liner.
Of the 2,164 passengers onboard the Radiance of the Seas, 89 reported falling ill with an unknown sickness during the week-long voyage — while two of 901 crew members were also impacted, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The infected vacationers and personnel experienced diarrhea and vomiting on the nearly 1,000-foot-long ship that set sail on Saturday from Tampa, according to the health agency.
“Enhanced measures have been implemented onboard in an abundance of caution to protect the health and comfort of all our guests and crew,” a spokesperson for Royal Caribbean Group told The Post.
While norovirus is often a cause of gastrointestinal symptoms on cruise ships, the health agency said the official cause of the outbreak is unknown.

The cruise liner isolated ailing passengers and crew members, increased cleaning and disinfection measures to contain the outbreak and collected stool samples from those impacted for further testing, according to the CDC.
The 13-deck ship is set to return to Florida on Saturday following planned stops made in Mexico, Honduras and Belize, according to CruiseMapper.
The outbreak was reported to the CDC’s vessel sanitation program on Tuesday.
The latest report marks the sixth gastrointestinal illness outbreak on a cruise ship in 2025, with norovirus linked to two cases, according to the health agency.
A majority of the jaw-dropping 18 cases reported in 2024 were caused by norovirus.
