More than a dozen people suffered burn injuries when a boat they were riding on caught fire in Florida on Thursday, a report said.

The 13 injured people were among nearly two dozen aboard the Wellcraft pleasure boat in the New River in Fort Lauderdale when it caught fire at about 2 p.m. on Thursday, the Sun Sentinel reported.

Five were rushed to nearby hospitals and two were severely injured.

Authorities were investigating the cause of the fire.
