No scaredy-cats here.
A massive mountain lion made itself right at home in an Oregon woman’s living room, taking a 6-hour snooze behind her sofa before being coaxed out “telepathically.”
Lauren Taylor of Ashland, Oregon, was shocked to find the large feline visitor in her abode on July 8.
She thinks the cat probably wandered in through an open back door after drinking from a pond in the yard. Taylor chronicled the experience on Facebook—complete with photos and videos of the napping guest—which received over 17,000 reactions and shares as of Tuesday afternoon.
“The door was open and the room has huge plants & stairs built around real tree branches, so she likely didn’t even realize she was walking indoors until she was inside.” Taylor wrote.”She clearly felt safe and she showed no inclination to leave,”
The mountain lion did initially try to leave the room, but got scared when Taylor’s roommate screamed. It retreated to the nook behind the couch where it fell into a slumber.
Taylor believes her “extensive experience working with energy and animals” made the meeting a peaceful and pleasant one, adding that she does not recommend seeking out encounters with wild animals.
“When I made noise, she woke up and looked startled so I consciously raised my frequency, gazed lovingly into her eyes, and communicated using feline-speak eye blinking to calm her,” she wrote.
When it came time for Taylor’s furry pal to leave, she says she gently teased the cat out with a drum and “telepathic pictures of the routes out of the house via open doors and the route out the backyard, across the creek, through an open field, and back up into the hills.”
It worked. The lion left without a hitch, back into its natural habitat.
