Museum’s tent pitch
PHILADELPHIA — A large canvas tent that served as George Washington’s home and command center during the Revolutionary War is being duplicated down to the finest stitch.
The original, 225-year-old artifact will be a centerpiece at the Museum of the American Revolution, opening in Philadelphia in 2016. Its replica, being made in Colonial Williamsburg, Va., will be on tour ahead of the museum opening.
