A naked man made an ass of himself after swiping an American flag, officials said.

Daniel Stoltzfus, 30, of Saugerties in Ulster County allegedly ran down a street in his birthday suit last week and snatched Old Glory from a pole outside a private home, the Times Herald-Record reported.

Witnesses saw him spit on the flag and wipe his buttocks with it, cops said, according to the news outlet. The unpatriotic streaker was hauled off to a hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, cops said.

Stoltzfus faces charges of petty larceny, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct for the Thursday incident.
