A model plunged to her death from a 20th-floor apartment in Malaysia following a drug-fueled night of partying with American “swingers,” according to a new report.
The family of Dutch teen Ivana Smit suspect foul play after the 18-year-old was found naked on the sixth-floor balcony of a Kuala Lumpur condo last Thursday, Express UK reported.
Local police believe the fall was accidental, but the teen’s distraught father suspects she was pushed.
“She did not fall and did not jump either,” Marcel Smit told Dutch outlet AD, adding that police just want to “close the case quickly.”
Smit reportedly had sent her boyfriend a selfie and message Thursday morning telling him she was at an American couple’s apartment after a night out.
Her dad said he’d heard rumors that the couple — a wealthy “cryptocurrency trader” and his Kazakhstani wife — were swingers who frequently brought young models home to party.
“Drugs and such sex parties are from a world that is not so much Ivana’s,” he said.
But police said the teen had been intoxicated when she fell and that her blood test revealed traces of ecstasy and alcohol.
Her body was found at 3 p.m., but officials told local outlets she’d fallen hours earlier at 10 a.m., NL Times reported.
“It’s very strange that this American couple did nothing while Ivana’s things were lying in their apartment,” her father said.
Her hosts told officials the husband slept through the ordeal and that his wife was out taking their son to school.
The girl’s family say the investigation is going nowhere and they have contacted Interpol.
“Her clothes have been found, but her shoes and underwear haven’t. The police haven’t looked at her mobile phones,” said her uncle Fred Agenjo.
“We want a thorough investigation. If it turns out it was an accident or a reckless act by Ivana, we can live with that.”
The young model was raised in Malaysia by her grandfather and was the runner-up in the 2014 Malaysia Supermodel Search.
She had recently walked in fashion shows for brands Chanel and Triumph.
