The names of the first dead victims of the Orlando massacre were released by city officials Sunday afternoon.

They were Edward Sotomayor Jr., Stanley Almodovar III, Luis Omar Ocasio-Capo and Juan Ramon Guerrero, Eric Ivan Ortiz-Rivera and Peter O. Gonzalez-Cruz.

All six died during the early morning shooting at Pulse nightclub.

Names of the remaining dead would be released later pending family notification, officials said.
