A spaceship touched down on the White House lawn Monday — but there were no lasers fired at the Oval Office.

The Orion, NASA’s hope for deep-space human travel, was on display as part of President Trump’s Made in America Product Showcase.

“And NASA, as you know, is really in a position that it hasn’t been in decades,” Trump said.

“People are excited about it.”

The commander-in-chief in June called on the Pentagon to create a “space force” as a new branch of the US military.

Trump on Monday also lauded private research into space flight, such as billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX program, and said he’d like private researchers to partner with NASA.

“For some reason, rich people love rockets. We’ll lease them the pad,” Trump said.

The Orion, which is being developed by Lockheed Martin, was first tested in 2014. Orion project manager Michael Haws and NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine were on hand for the event, which also included an F-35 fighter jet, baseball bats by BWP and a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
