A Massachusetts church has been linked to nearly 150 confirmed cases of coronavirus, officials said.

The outbreak was traced back to services and programs held on or around Oct. 18 at Crossroads Community Church in Fitchburg, news station WCVB reported.

The church canceled in-person services after health officials detected a cluster of more than two dozen infections.

There had been 28 cases linked to the house of worship as of Oct. 26 — with the count growing to 35 by the following day, officials said.

By Saturday afternoon, the number of confirmed cases had swelled to almost 150, the outlet reported. There were no immediate reports of any of the sickened churchgoers being hospitalized.

“If you were at services at Crossroads, go get yourself tested,” Fitchburg Mayor Stephen DiNatale said last week, according to news station WBTS.

Photos and videos on the church’s Facebook page before the outbreak showed congregants without masks and not social distancing, the outlet reported.

DiNatale said the city met with church leaders and they “understand the importance of getting a handle on this.”

“We’re doing the best we can to address it and make sure that we arrest any further advance of the COVID-19,” DiNatale said.
