Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday launched a new Farsi-language Twitter account, in which he railed against a potential US-Iranian nuclear arms accord.

Netanyahu told Iranians that such a deal would only strengthen Tehran’s brutal ability to suppress their human rights.

He tweeted that “the more the regime feels strong and impervious to foreign pressure, the more it increases domestic oppression.”

Although Israel is not a party to the nuclear negotiations in Vienna, it has been the talks’ most vocal opponent. Under his new Twitter handle, @IsraeliPM_Farsi, Netanyahu renewed his opposition to the peace plan.
