A newlywed California man drowned while on his honeymoon with his wife in Hawaii — and thieves snatched the couple’s belongings on the beach and took their rental car.

Steven Phan and his wife, Brittany, were celebrating their new life together in Honolulu on June 1 when Phan vanished beneath the surf while they were snorkeling off Electric Beach.

A spear fisherman pulled him to shore and bystanders began CPR before first responders arrived, KTIV reported.

They had been married for just three months, according to a GoFundMe page that identified the couple.

“As If this could not be worse, all of Brittany and Steven’s belongings were stolen, the thieves took their cell phones, wallets, money, clothing, they even stole their car rental,” the GoFundMe page says.
