NEWPORT, NH — New Hampshire police chiefs plan to give away 31 guns, including several semiautomatic weapons, in a raffle to raise funds for a youth training academy.
The New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police will sell 1,000 raffle tickets for $30 apiece in May, the Valley News of West Lebanon reported.
The raffle was organized before the Dec. 14 Newtown, Conn., school shootings.
