The iconic director, behind beloved favorites like “The Princess Bride” and “A Few Good Men,” was found dead with his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, on Sunday afternoon by their 28-year-old daughter, Romy.
She told investigators at the time that her brother, who has struggled with drug addiction for most of his life, “should be a suspect’’ because he is “dangerous,’’ sources said.
Nick Reiner was arrested hours later and charged with their murders.

LAPD Gang and Narcotics“As a result of the initial investigation, it was determined that the Reiners were the victims of homicide,” LAPD said in a statement. “The investigation further revealed that Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of Robert and Michele Reiner, was responsible for their deaths.”
Sources said Nick and his parents got into a “very loud argument” at Conan O’Brien’s Christmas party Saturday — possibly because the son was back on drugs and refusing to get treatment.
Nick has been in rehab at least 17 times since age 15.
