PARIS — A lawyer for Gérard Depardieu says the actor again couldn’t make it to court to face drunken- driving charges in France.
Defense attorney Eric de Caumont said Depardieu was busy filming a movie in New York yesterday about another Frenchman known for run-ins with the law: Dominique Strauss-Kahn.
A Paris criminal court yesterday could take exception to Depardieu’s second straight no-show over the incident in November when he toppled over on his scooter in Paris and was charged with drunken driving.
