North Korea’s playing a deadly game.

The monitoring site 38 North said that after eight weeks of bustling activity at the Punggye-ri Nuclear Test Site satellite images from April 16 show that movements have slowed and three volleyball games were taking place at the facility near the guard barracks and at a command center.

Just last week, 38 North said the rogue regime was “primed and ready” for another nuclear test at the site on the country’s northeast coast.

Analysts for 38 North said that the facility could simply be on “stand-by” status and some of its personnel are enjoying a little down-time.

They also said that because North Korea is aware of when satellites will fly overhead, the country could be signaling that a “decision has been made to place the test on hold.”

Despite the relaxed atmosphere and the presence of the volleyball game, North Korea is still poised to go nuclear.

“Regardless, satellite imagery continues to indicate that the Punggye-ri nuclear test site appears able to conduct a sixth nuclear test at any time once the order is received from Pyongyang,” it said.

North Korean President Kim Jong Un was expected to carry out a nuclear test last Saturday during the celebrations for his grandfather Kim Il Sung’s 105th birthday, a day when the country shows off its arsenal of military weapons.

The Trump administration has been working with its allies in the region to rein in North Korea’s nuclear ambitions.
