NRA enjoys cash boom
WASHINGTON — Fears of new gun curbs are proving to be a financial boon for the National Rifle Association, which posted its best fund-raising month in February in close to 13 years.
The nation’s chief gun- rights lobby hauled in nearly $1.6 million last month, close to the $1.7 million raised during the presidential election of 2000.
The NRA has $4 million in the bank.
