It’s enough to make your skin crawl.

An Albany Water crew working on the capital city’s pipes stumbled on a shocking clog in the system — a 14-foot boa constrictor that was living inside a water main, local officials say.

The workers were repairing the 48-inch water main at Tivoli Preserve on Friday when they were startled by the slithery intruder, Albany Water said on Facebook.

News of the snake’s appearance was but a footnote in the agency’s update on the repairs.

“In other news: during mobilization to the main break repair Friday the crews were encountered by a 14ft Boa Constrictor that had come from the woods to the site,” the post said.

The city called in the state Department of Environmental Conservation to remove the critter.

Albany Water said the incident shouldn’t affect the city’s water supply.
