O.J. gets a helping hand
The Juice scored a small courtroom victory yesterday when a Las Vegas judge ruled he could have one hand unshackled to drink water and take notes.
But District Court Judge Linda Bell said O.J. Simpson’s left hand still had to be cuffed to the arm of his chair as lawyers fight to have his 2008 convictions for armed robbery and kidnapping tossed.
Simpson is expected to take the witness stand today to press for his long-shot legal bid.
The NFL hall-of-famer claims ineffective work by his former lead lawyer, Yale Galanter, led to the convictions.
